This is not Gingers first bath. When I brought her home from the breeders, I thought it was a good idea to leave her in her carrier overnight. The hubby and I went to bed and a half hour later she was throwing a fit. She had a poop explosion in her carrier and I had to give her a bath and clean the carrier in the middle of the night. I spent that first night with her sleeping on my chest in the family room. I felt so bad for the little pooper. I had a male Coon that I never bathed and he was a bear to bath when he was older. I would have the groomer give him a lion cut! He was so cute, but he hated car rides too!

Oh yes I did that with all my cats too - except Neevie, coz she wouldn't have it - it makes for much quicker bonding, I find - I don't know may be something about relating "safe" with "mummy's smell"....
hey no! don't feel silly, I think it's great! I just laugh coz it's sooooo cute :-D and I'm sure Ginger, for all her glaring, enjoys all the attention, too! ;-)

What a beautiful cat you have!
There was only one time I attempted a hair dryer at bath time. Poor little guy scrambled away, huddled in a corner, squinted his eyes and pathetically tried to fight it off with his outstretched paw. Since then I wait until a sunny day so after towel-drying we can sort his fur out in the sun.
I don't know if it's just my cat or if it's all MCs, but a grudge is never held long, thankfully!

Alekto,
Haha that is so funny, when I take Ginger to the vet, she purrs so loud the vet can hardly get her vitals. She likes Ginger because she does not hiss at her, she says most cats don't enjoy seeing her! So maybe some remember better than others? Ginger pretty much loves everyone, except maybe my daughters Australian shepherd. Macy tries to herd her around the house. When something is really difficult the hubby says "it's like trying to herd kittens". We always get a big laugh out of that!
