Chris, I am so sorry to hear about Dylan! I would not be happy either. I think when I put the down payment on Ginger I signed a contract at that time. If you had a contract with the breeder, would that be a breech of contract? I don't know legal stuff but... I think I would be a angry girl and seek some kind of retribution. Not to mention that I would not recommend that breeder to anyone ever and may say specifically not to use them ever. I think they need word of mouth to sell their kittens and this would be bad for business. Once again I am sad for you but there is a kitten just waiting to come home and be loved. Maybe a rescue?

Thank you so much Donna and unfortunately we didnt have a contract ! I know, I know I can hear everyone now saying you silly person but I am a complete novice in the cat world and all your comments have taught me so much, you have no idea how stupid I feel right now, but I am armed with an angel on my right side that will make sure that I dont make silly stupid mistakes like this again. Sarah went down to see the 'breeder' (putting breeder in inverted comas because in the light of day she doesnt deserve that title) We got the full amount back, because Dylan was paid for in full, (another mistake). Word of mouth up here is going round, and her name is mud ! Sarah has been active !!! lol I know that somewhere there is a kitten for me, and in a way, it may be the one that was meant for me ! Things happen for a reason, and I feel now that this is just a learning curve which now will take me down the right path to find the right baby for me.
Thanks for posting Donna it is much appreciated xChris X

I'm so sorry to hear about your frustration. Those little fur-balls get into our hearts before they get into our homes. I do think that things happen for a reason, though. I was disappointed time and again before I finally got my little boy, and when everything finally falls into place, you can't imagine it having been any different. X
