Re:Mums MC
Hi Claire, good luck to your mum & her girl, our first MC was an ex breeding queen & did she have some funny ways, sometimes when I think about that first year with her I am surprised she didn't put us off the breed altogether but it was worth all the hard work in the end as she has repaid us with love, affection & is been lots of fun.
Not really much longer before you too can have fun,bet you don't eat much the day you go to pick them up,will look forward to seeing their photos.
Louie-Louie has your mum ever let her dog come face to face with a MC that is very strong minded, most MC's accept them & don't run anyway which normally confuses them but my sister in laws massive labrador was a cat chaser until he met my daughters MC,they sat & faced each other out for nearlly 20 minutes then the dog tried his luck, the cat hissed & launched at the dog & he turned tail & ran.It was a year before the dog would go into my daughters house again then he got braver but would try & hide then after about six months he was laying asleep after a long walk & woke up with cat curled up with him, best friends ever since & has never tried to chase any other cats.

My mum just worrys about any cat on Tesses patch as she chases anything & catches rabbits so she dosent want to take the chance. Our dogs have no choice as the cats were here 1st & they rule

My mother has a whippet that chases anything with fur. When we got Simba she made an effort to bring her whippet round most days so they got to know each other. Her whippet now gets so excited to come round as she just loves Simba. Simba is the star though - he just isn't afraid of anything and he just stands there when her whippet runs in. If she gets close he throws his paws around her neck and bits her ears. We never thought we would see her whippet getting on with a cat - so anything is possible
