I'd rather not give their name but they are a registerred breeder here and they're testing for HCM etc, they're showing their cats so I'm sure everything is ok from that point of view. I guess people are just different in what they view warrants a vet trip. If it was my kitten and a bit of it's ear was hanging off I'd definitely be bringing it to the vet just to see if anything could/should be done. I was surprised that the breeder hadn't noticed the tear and also by the response: ''Oh I'll have to put some cream on that''. The way that ear looked, cream isn't going to do anything - it really looked liked it needed stitches or glue - without that the poor kitten is likely to have a permanent gap in it's ear and it was such a thin section of the ear almost sliced off that the tissue might die off completely. I have decided to pass on this kitten and will go with a different breeder.
