Mandy only lets loose when no one is looking. I've observed her killing toy mice, arching her back at invisible enemies, and just being a silly clown. But, as soon as she knows someone is watching she immediately stops! Yesterday she crouched down and shook her tail like she was going to pounce on me! She didn't pounce, but I was happy to see her at least trying to have some fun.
I'm not sure what goes on at night sometimes. With four cats, it's hard to tell who is doing what. Rose, our Bengal mix is the nighttime crazy cat. She starts howling as soon as the lights are off, and it's a few minutes after then she will jump on the bed and attack our feet. If there's a thunderous elephant-in-tap-shoes noise accompanied by the jingle of ID tags, that's Sampson chasing someone around. Yesterday they dug out a plastic vial that was half-full of catnip in the basement...They made such a racket I thought they'd found another mouse down there!
