Thread: Litter box suggestions

My male Coon Merlin is also a very big boy, mostly a very long and tall cat, and his preferred box is an extra large, open box with no enclosure. I also have another extra large box with enclosure for my female Coon, who is very fluffy and also sensitive about privacy. However, we first got the large, open box for our 24lb ginger tabby since he's too fat to fit anything else. Even Mandy and our other little cat Rose enjoy the open box sometimes, and for the males they use it exclusively. If you can put the box in a basement or other area where you can tolerate extra mess sometimes I think your big guy will like it better, and possibly not make so much mess trying to turn around and get comfy in an enclose box.
