How can one cat make so much noise?

My bedroom is above my office where I work all morning. Simba loves my bedroom and often goes up there to play. When I'm working downstairs it sounds like a herd of elephants running around up there and I often think it's the dogs so I go up to take a look at what is going on and all I see is one little cat sitting on the bed looking completely innocent so I go downstairs again only to hear it start up again. Goodness only knows what he does when my back is turned but it sounds like he is running around the room at great speed, onto the bed and off again, but I have yet to catch him in the act

I know how you feel , I went upstairs earlier as I thought the dogs were using the bed as a trampoline again but no they were fast asleep in the bathroom in a sunbeam & only Louie in the bedroom I think he was doing circuits & bumps from the top of the wardrobe on to the bed onto the floor then the chair then the ceiling back to the wardrobe atleast thats what it sounded like but he was just sitting in the middle of the bed with that "who me" look on his face

It's amazing how they can look so innocent isn't it. When I catch the dogs doing something they shouldn't be they look so guilty I know which one did it but Simba just starts washing himself like he has been sitting there all morning - it's quite confusing

Luckily only have a one level house with carpet and tiles so not that noisy although the continual playing with rattly mice ( now two of them doing it) and Timmy deciding he will bring them to me and make an awful howling noise while he is doing it does create a bit of a racket
