Hello and congratulations! I can't comment specifically for MCs, but I had 2 cats when I had my son 21 years ago (where did the time go??), and people delighted in telling me horror stories about cats and babies, and asking if I was going to get rid of the cats .

I think that cats, being the curious creatures that they are, have a need to inspect everything that come into the house, so I set up the nursery, and let the cats in for a good old nose, and let them have a good inspect of the pram and any other baby paraphanalia that we brought home. When we brought my son home, I put him on the floor on his changing mat and they had a good sniff of him, and they weren't very interested after that

Remember to be careful changing the litter trays though - ideally get someone else to do it while you are pregnant, or make sure you wear gloves, and good luck
