I rarely trim Elvis' claws. I watch to see they're not getting ingrown or anything.
He's been great about scratching on what he's supposed to scratch and leaving the furniture alone.
He occasionally digs in, but when I let out a nice "OWWW" he seems to "get it" and appears to understand what it means.
Over time, the punctures in my skin seem to be getting more rare as he gets more of a clue regarding what happens when he uses the claws.
