I just read that there's new worming stuff released in Australia. Rather than trying to give the cat/kitten tablets or paste, this goes on the back of the neck and is absorbed through the skin.

This is the story I saw on it from one of the vets going into the local newspaper...

"Australia’s first Spot-on Intestinal wormer for cats
Cats can be notoriously difficult to dose with tablets, paste or liquid by mouth as they are very taste sensitive and have been known to severely bite or scratch people attempting treatment for worms.
This new product named Profender Spot-On consists of 2 compounds.
Emodepside which kills round and hook worms and Praziquantal which kills tapeworms thus accounting for all the intestinal worms.
Simply part the fur on the back of the skull or neck and squeeze the contents of the pipette onto the skin.
Both compounds are absorbed through the skin to the blood stream and then to the intestines.
Profender is available only from veterinarians."

I don't know if you would be able to find it in other countries.

Try drontal spot on wormer. It's like scrapdragon says, it goes on the skin like a flea drop. I'm not sure if they are OK for kittens but I use them on my lot.

I've always used Pancur paste before in a syringe and never had any problems although I do like the idea of the 'spot on' type wormer it is certainly worth looking into as to it's effectiveness etc
