    cat netting

I have a tall stair gate which I would like to put up in the room I'm intending to put kitty in for the first day or so to stop the dogs getting in and kitty getting out but enable them to smell and see each other through the bars. The bars on the stair gate are 6cm apart. Would a kitten be able to get through that? If so is there anywhere I could buy a small piece of cat netting that I could put over the gate?

Thank Tomian, I did see that on zooplus. Do you think a kitten could get through a 6cm gap?

If the kitten in question is the same size at 14 weeks old as Storvenn and Loki, then no. I doubt it.

6cm or 6" i doubt it unless he is a dwarf with a tiny head

but re: cat netting i have a tip instead of buying cat netting i use voile which is a type of transparent net material usually used as curtains (for those who dont know) i bought a few meters for £5 and it is magic at keeping kitty from getting out of small gaps like my windows when open etc, she likes how it feels tho so i often find her rubbing her paws down it lol x

I didn't think so but I have heard cats can get out of the smallest gaps. I'm hoping the stair gate will be fine as it is. It's only for the first day or so while they get to know each other.
