Thread: Advice on carpet protection from kitten enjoying some meat

After seeing Peter's post about his kittehs getting gingivitis, I decided to join in with the feeding meat that Rasputin has to chew once a week.

It's going quite well so far however the only issue is that he picks up the large chunks out of the bowl and then eats them off the carpet (right next to) rather than on the plastic mats we've got for him. Does anyone have any suggestions for what I could put down over the carpet to protect it?

Plastic mat mum thats a bit common,do you prefer eating off of paper plates to china ones....!
Can just imagine him enjoying it off of the best carpet,hopefully someone else has had the problem & can come up with a good idea but what springs to my mind is a cheap carpet square underneath just on his raw food day that you can remove & sponge down ready for the next time,hopefully he wouldn't realise it was diferent colour to the other one & you are trying to hoodwink him....x
