Little Minnie used to do that quite a lot when she was younger, often in order to challenge the others into playing. I once saw her running on her hind legs towards Tatja, who was stretched out on the floor, and leaping over her like a little kangaroo.

Ha ha. That's a lovely image! Oscar better up his game to include kangaroo jumps. I guess it's coonie-speak for "play with me"!

My River (domestic shorthair) does this i. He is that good he can stay up for a few minutes. We taught him this when he was younger. Hopefully i can do the same with Basil that would look so funny. Little and large

Both of mine can do this, and both can hold it at least for a little bit. But aside from the one time Winston scared the crap out of Archie by jumping out of a closed shower, they only ever do it if there is food involved. I call it prairie dogging, they will pop up to peek at what I've got out.
