    debating on a new kitten

Hi I currently have a 8 month old mc who seems to be content as being an only "child". He is extremely doglike and loves being held and is my constant companion. I am considering getting another MC however I dont want to ruin a good thing. Im afraid bringing another kitty in will alter my pouncys personality. Also I dont know if I could love another just as much. Im crazy I know...I feel bad for him when Im not home because when I am home he is on my heels literally...i mean constantly LOL I love his personality and dont want to make the wrong choice by bringing another MC in. Suggestions please

    Get another one.

MCs are a very sociable breed and they crave company. If Pouncy is left alone for long periods then he is probably lonely, and ecstatic to see you when you come home. In fact, some breeders won't even let kittens go to homes where they are the only pet and left alone all day.

Now is the ideal time to get Pouncy a companion as he is still very young himself. There is every chance that he will accept a new kitten and they will get on with trashing the house, like mine do.

They need company - got my 3 together and they're still on our heels (and trashing the house!!). I worried that ours would hate us/change their personality when we put them in a cattery for a week - they didn't . I don't think you need to worry about ruining a good thing - nothing seems to phase them....

Yes, definitely go for another MC. It's quite fascinating to watch the social interaction between MCs/cats. My MC and moggie sister are great friends, and real companions for one another. And I think the MC would be very lonely if she wasn't around xx

I'd definitely go for it. Eric and Kenny are the best of friends and we got them at different times. The first few days can be tricky but now it really is double trouble with the pair of them. They both follow us around but also get to spend time together too.

One MC is never enough. I used to think 7 was enough, but here we are with 8, and two kittens!
