With MC's whatever you buy start off with big sizes because before too long you will need extra large anyway...! I used to have covered in trays but one cat used to abuse the system so now stick with open ones but if you want to give it a go buy a large one to begin with but also make sure he has access to the other {bigger....}open tray to start with when you are not around. I now use under the bed storage boxes as my litter trays as you can get them as large & deep as you want & they work very well.Whatever you use make sure the litter is nice & deep as they sure like to dig through to Australia & it also helps keep the smell down too. Be careful with a collar make sure he can't get hung up also as he starts to grow his furr it could make a mark round his neck,is he microchipped ? Always money very well spent even on an animal that you intend to keep inside, there is always that chance of a door\window being left open.As to sleeping in bed with you cats are natural born leapers so if he can get on the bed coming off will be of no problem, once again this is where I am a hard mum,all animals have to have their own sleeping space as I value my rest too much, only allowed on the bed for good morning cuddles....! Get a scratching post ASAP as that is the one thing you do want to be able to guide him too pretty quickly especially if you want to keep your furniture whole, get him used to being groomed & having his nails clipped right away too or even when his nails are ok get him to sit on your lap & handle his feet & toes to get him used to the feel there is nothing worse than having to struggle with a fully grown MC but it looks as if you have got all the basics covered, have fun, enjoy & please post some photos of Magic.....x
