He will start to learn a bit more co-ordination as he grows so I wouldn't worry too much. Having said that, we have one girl who squats so low when she does a poo that it gets stuck in her tail so that's not much fun!

Is his litter tray big enough?

Hobbes did exactly the same thing - he has got "better" at missing the poos now he is older and we did buy massive litter trays from the get-go - but when they get those fur-lined paws mucky - bleurgh! Wet Wipes at the ready!

I got Sarah at 6 months and she was always getting bits of poo on the back end - I think she also was squatting too low. I was continually have to chase her around to clean her backside and sometimes even cut it out of her hair she made such a hash of it!!!

She is 14 months old now and doesnt appear to be doing it anymore.

Zack doesnt have a hairy back end yet so will be interesting to see what he does

 Spoke too soon

Zack has just jumped on my spare bed with a back leg covered in "poo".

At present he is now back in the cat run playing a great game of "you cant catch me" so maybe some of it will come off before he comes back in - I have a wet cloth ready!!!!

I noticed he doesnt scratch around after a wee - he just gets up and walks off???

ps - Luckily most of it has come off with the dirt and the stones = phew
