That's a very good point by BasilHayden :smile:. I only used the laser toy a couple of times and then put it away never to be seen again. Poppy got herself in a terrible state trying to catch the dot - overheated, panting and completely over-excited. I was quite upset when I realised that she seemed distressed. I would not recommend it.

I take a photo every month so see how big he getting. With seeing him all the time I don't think you notice it so I recommend doing that.
Going to plan on taking a pic when I weigh her, try to get her agasint the tiles of the kitchen to guage size changes.Quote:

Thanks, my plan is to keep her in the kitchen tonight, where the litter tray, food is etc, and put her in the tray to start with and see how that goes, any tips I can do to help her settle in more?

I would say "don't plan".... go with the flow. When we picked up our first MC we came away with her daughter in one carrier {who my daughter was having} & mum in another,we felt awful when we dropped my daughter off with her babe & continued home with China & our intentions were to let her have quiet time out especially as we had a dog too then & she had certainly not been in contact with one of those before,we let her out in the room that was going to be hers & also where her tray was, gave her a quick hug & put some food down & left her alone to get sorted out,well that lasted for as long as the food did which with China wasn't long & then she started up "excuse me why am I in here while you are out in the comfort of the sitting room...", just thought blow it let her out & she can go where she likes,she came in went straight up to the dog & introduced herself had a play then came for a quick cuddle before laying down beside the dog & going to sleep, that was the start of a very close relationship between canine & feline but it also gave us a warm feeling that she felt so at home so quickly....Quote:

I agree with Jackie... just let her explore the house freely. After she's investigated the lot she'll probably crash out in a comfy place somewhere near you. :)
