Fussy Eater
Darcie-lu is 4yrs old next week & she only eats the Hills Natures Best biscuits she came with as a kitten. We have tried a enormous selection of different foods but she refuses all, occasionally accepting the tiniest piece of ham. Our late Mackerel tabby Minstrel ate mainly biscuits & had recurring cystitis from the age of 6, which was treated with daily Cystaid capsules until he passed away last June. I am concerned that Darcie-lu will develop the same condition, although she does drink plenty of fluids. Has anyone had any experience of this- any advice gratefully recieved

I was actually thinking of asking the same question on the forum - Neevie is getting increasingly fussy, she only eats half of a pouch per day and gorges herself on MC special biscuits ... from the maze only... she won't eat them from her plate any more!
I never see her drink - except every morning when we run the water from the tap for her and then she gorges herself with that water, stratight from the tap!
And then there's chicken - cooked chicken, which can apparently be eaten at night when the Human Slaves are in bed...
Oh and pouches, have to be newly opened - she'll cry for it in the morning, eat a few mouthfuls then go away and not touch it again. EXCEPT if we forget one on the counter for more than a day, then it becomes interesting again, she'll finish it if it's older than a day....

hey I did something yesterday - I kind of cornered Neevie and presented her the bowl of canned food, held it in my hand right under her nose with a clear message "if you don't eat a bit of it, you are going nowhere". At first she wouldn't have it, then she licked a little bit, and she decided she liked it - and ate it all out of the bowl that was in my hand!
This morning I gave her the same food in the normal manner and guess what? the plate is empty, licked to the rim!

Ginger can be a bit fussy, she has decided she does not like pâté style canned science diet, she will only eat the chicken chunks. My hubby feeds her half a can when he gets up and I feed her the other Half at dinner time. She always has dry kibble available. She will let everyone know if the water dish gets empty!
