hi Fiona - I had my Neevie and a little 2 months old kitten chipped in the past 2 years.
The needle the chip is implanted with looks impressive - the first time I saw it I though there's no way that's going through - but strangely it doesn't seem to hurt them much - Neevie didn't make a sound, though she did try to escape when the Vet grabbed her but that's a reflex for her, the little one squeeled a little bit but it was more akin to "hey what are you doing" rather than "aw aw aw aw aw!" - they don't like it, but it's over very fast and then it's done.
I hope this puts your mind at rest?
where are you coming back from?
Hi Alekto
Thanks so much for this advice. Am returning from Southern Ireland and can't wait!! Mandy was actually born in England, so she'll be returning to her roots!!
