Wondering if my kitten is a Maine Coon

We adopted Franklin from a local animal shelter in late July. He's an adorable, sweet kitten who has HUGE paws, a very large, fluffy raccoon tail, and other Maine Coon attributes, as well. I was just wondering if you experts think he is one! He's about five months old. I can post photos of him at 8 weeks if that helps.

Attaching another photo. Lots of views, but no opinions? Anyone?

Hi He is very handsome indeed! what makes you think he is a Maine coon? His large paws, many cats have large paws. Maine coons are a distinct breed. Long bodies, long hair and may have have a very unusual meow, more like a chirp, than a average cat. They are very dog like and love human contact. Mine follows me around like a dog hahaha
Check out wiki it pretty much states it all, doesn't look Maine but could be part perhaps?

My girl Ginger is a very long haired and long bodied Maine coon, she is typical of this very loving and happy breed.

Hi - he's a good looking fella but doesn't look like an MC to me. His fur isn't long enough, his paws and ears aren't tufted enough, and his face shape doesn't look right. The reality is you are very unlikely to happen across a pedigree cat at a shelter, let alone a kitten - they're expensive, usually house cats and don't have kittens unbeknownst to anybody like moggies sometimes do! He could have some MC in him somewhere down the line, but there's no way of knowing and it wouldn't make him a 'better' cat anyway, so just enjoy him!
