Long story, but we shall just put up with he flies in future.
Anyway, she is VERY sticky. The vet is happy that the stuff is not toxic, but we can't get it off with cat shampoo, Fairy liquid or (in desperation) nail varnish remover.
She doesn't seem to care and is certainly not even attempting to groom it off, but one flank is pretty grim and I wondered if anyone has any suggestions other than shaving the fur off.

Whatever she does, wherever she goes, bits of stuff get stuck to her. Currently threads form curtain making, fluff from emptying the hoover (with help) and half the back garden...

Can you lift Ava's hair with a comb and trim off the tips of the hair that got into that fly paper? We have trimmed our MC very carefully with scissors to remove some hair that had become knotted and shortened the hair at the hind quarters to prevent a slightly messy stool or 'Cling-ons' from becoming a problem. That lovely hair will grow back out before you know it! I wouldn't think you would have to 'shave' all the hair off in that spot in order to get most of the stickiness off. Glad to hear that she isn't all that concerned about it. It sounds like she has a very mellow personality like our male Smokey MC. Sidney and Ava are both beautiful cats!
