    Yes that sounds about right.
The breeders here will only sell an entire kitten to a registered breeder, otherwise the kitten is desexed before we get him.
This helps to stop the backyard breeders and cross breeds. This happens with all pedigree kittens in Australia.

I make all my new kitten owners sign a contract to say they will be spayed/neutered before they are 6 months old and no-one has ever questioned it.

Your friend is wrong to say it is your choice as your breeder has sold to you as a pet.

    What are you getting Jenny?
My boy is a black silver classic tabby. He's getting a lot lighter though as he's getting older (he's only 4 months though

Great news about the kitten Jen, and I echo what Louise said above. Harry is now 6 months and we have just had him neutered. Now the fun bit, we need info on this new baby, A boy, silver tabby ? you do realise I am going to be soooooo jealous. Got any piccs yet ?

Hi, I am the same as Scrapdragon. Both my MC's were desexed before I got them, as said they are not sold in australia without being desexed unles to a registered breeder.

My boy is black silver tabby as well - snap to all three.

He is getting lighter every day
