Smile Have you any Summer Holidays planned for 2010?

Well all this really unusual cold weather we have been having, has made me start to think of my Summer hols

I really could do with some sunshine soon!
Perhaps some of our members from "down under" are just back from their hols!

We are going to Soller in Mallorca for a week in June. It's my first time to visit the island and I just hope the sun shines whilst we are there. The rain tends to follow us around

I'll have to get on to getting Winston's cattery organized!

Ohhh I would love to have a holiday Dee! But not sure what were doing yet. We were thinking about going to Poland in the summer holidays, because my sister-inlaw invited us there to stay. I would love to go somewhere hot though as Im sick of this cold weather.

The last holiday that we had was 3 years ago in the Maldives, and that was HEAVEN! I would love to go back again. *dreams on* lol

I'd love to see The Maldives before they disappear.
That must have been a great experience
We had snow in Ireland again these last few nights and like you I'm just sick of it

We don't go on summer holidays... we go on winter holidays...

It gets too hot up north during summer and everyone heads down here to the south coast where we are during the summer as it's cooler even though we do still have really hot days it cools down much quicker and we don't have the weeks of it.

This winter we are heading north again up towards broome through the centre of western australia. We live on the south coast of western australia.

Last year we went as far as canarvon, so this year is further along.

They have winter temps of about 25-30 degrees Celcius, where we are down to the 17-20 degrees celcius. Definately not cold for you but it is for us.
Summer it can get to 45 degrees here during the day but the nights cool down to about 20.

I am from South Australia and am looking forward to a bit of cooler weather. I went to England and Ireland during our winter in July to catch someone elses summer! Unfortunely while I was away one of my 17 year old cats passed away so that was a bit of a downer on my return ( they kept it from me) No new holidays on the horizon for me!!!

ps - we have been getting low to mid 40 degrees here as well

Cool where did you get to visit in the U.K & Ireland?
    Did you enjoy the weather

A very good friend of mine spent 2 years in Australia. He said he was miserable at Christmas cause the sun was shining, and he ate his Christmas dinner in the dining room with the curtains pulled, and the lights switched off

I am got Sarah and I am getting Zack from Victoria - Tantus Maine Coons - they have been wonderful.

    Re my trip

I spent a week doing a tour of southern Ireland which was flat out but wonderful - but wet!
In England we stayed in the centre near Rugby and drove up to Manchester and Leeds and then into the Yorkshire Dales and York. Also stayed in Sheffield as my friend did the Phil and friends ride through the Pennines, my other friend and I drove the car and followed them and saw the fantastic countryside - I had been there 3 years before and done London, Bath etc. Sunny and warm in 2006 but wet in 2009
