Last week I hopped the chain link fence to save a baby bunny and had bruises all the way up my body from the fence. My hubby says I am getting to old to think I am wonder woman. I tell you when I hear an animal in distress I just react, no thought to how I might fare. But on the bright side I was wearing gardening gloves and rescued the little fella. I saw some bunnies in the neighbors garden and put it over there. You can not scold the Beagles as the are bred to catch bunnies, the little killers hahaha I love them but gosh!
Had squirrels, not red ones, the dachshunds we usta have kept them down somewhat. AD, that's after dachshunds, they became a nuisense, you'd think they didn't know they are prime meat in the south. So I took care of a few, then we got the cats, well Sidewinder, to help discourage them. But truly they are pests, get in the bird feeders, build nests in the attic space and eaves and chew wires. The chewing wire bit tends to solve itself 'cuz they only chew through once. But I have to replace the wire or resheath it. Don't like squirely beasts.
