days gone by !
I was thinking the other day about sweets, or as the americans amongs us call candy, that used to be around when I was young and that we no longer have ! One of them was a bar of chocolate called Five Boys which used to have a little boy on with different facial expressions, does anyone remember that ? And then there were spangles ! Oh and a bar of chocolate called Milk Tray, it was different fillings of chocolate in a bar ! All these are memories from my childhood.
So are there any sweets that are around no more that you can remember from your childhood ? Or perhaps it something else that takes you back, do tell, please ?Chris X

whyemier, maybe it was a 7 up bar? Penny candy is from the 50' 60's the small stores had boxes of candy behind the counter for a penny apiece usually. There were the few exceptions where you got more than one piece for a penny and that was awesome! Yes, my best friend Sharon and I would go to the store with a nickel or dime and load up on the penny candy. We still laugh about that.

Yep, Penny candy was great when it was two for a penny. I remember going into the little neighbor hood market and getting 100 pieces for a 50 cent piece (remember 50 cent pieces/half dollars?). I got sick many a time from too-much-candy. I felt cheated when in later years they only gave you one for a penny.
