    Introducing each other

Hi a little bit of advice please we have gad out MC boy for a few days an he seems really eager to explore and meet our other cats british short hair kitten girl and 8 year old lady. Although they seem a bit wary at the moment we have tried but the older on just hisses and the kitten backs away hissing, perhaps it's a bit to soon I don't know . But any help would be much appreciated. The other 2 cats were introduced at about a week and now tolerate each other and sometimes play .

    Hey there,

Have a read of this post about introducing cats/kittens:

To Get Ripley a little friend?

Basically don't worry about the hissing and just ignore it unless it develops into full on fighting. Play with them all as normal and talk with them etc things will settle down eventually.

Agree with AFK_Matrix on reading the thread & I am one who introduces straight off..... after three months my second youngest still doesn't love new baby but she tolerates him mostly, thats fine as the rest accepted him straight away & I know the time will come when she does too......x

Yes agreed - ignoring the problem in this perticular scenario is the best method it does take a few days... But do tell us how it goes!
