Slimcat ball (fatcat ball would perhaps be more appropriate!)

Just got this for the boys and filled it with their normal dry food. Quite a lot of eating and not a lot of running around is occurring but it seems to be giving them some entertainment!

Can I ask a quick question? Do you think the RC maine coon dry food would be OK in one of these?

Hey there. Yip it should be- there's an option to have some quite big holes open. I don't have any in at the mo or I would have tested it. The cats are still pretty absorbed with it today! Sylvester is a bit possessive of it so may have to get another one for Dudley, he doesn't get a look in!!

Hi - thank you for the reply! I will definitely get one of these because I'm sure we need more exercise here

I have a ball for each of my boys and I use RC Maine Coon biscuits. I have to say, the bigger hole is slightly too big and the boys only have to touch slightly and biscuits come out, so not much running about happening

I got one of these yesterday and filled it with treats just to get interest. I too found that the treats either came out easily or were near impossible to get out. I was thinking of trying the RC Maine Coon food next, maybe I ought to think of something else! I wonder what Catlover uses?

They've got their normal dry food in- Purina delicate. It does come out fairly easily but since I'm using it as an alternative way to give them dry food during the day I thought that was ok. They seem really engrossed in it but do not push it around very far, just gentle bats with the paw!

After using this for a few weeks I've also noticed that Mufasa has found a way of getting the treats out of the ball with just gentle patting. He also moves it to an area of high human traffic so that we accidentally kick it and he gleefully leaps onto the inevitable trail of treats! Bloomin' clever these maine coons! >^..^<
