Any cat tree recommendations?
Hi everyone
Has anyone bought a ceiliing high cat tree recently? I just wondered if a standard sized cat tree was big enough for your maine coons and if you have any recommendations for a particular tree?
I've seen one called 'Atlas' on zooplus and it seems to be quite a good price and has good reviews but it is difficult to know if Sylvester (a dainty MC) will be able to lie out on any of the platforms.
I think Sylvester would really like a cat tree but has anyone bought one to find their cats completely ignore it?!
Thanks
Alison

Tigga towers is brilliant, expensive but well worth the money & is certainly MC friendly as it was designed especially with them in mind,I sometimes cringe when two of mine run full pelt at it,one heads for the middle bed the other one goes for the highest bed & very often just hangs swinging as he didn't quite make it & the tower doesn't move, you can make up your own design as well, and yes mine do make full use of it,it is normally all beds full in the evenings except for the hammock, only one has the knack of getting into that but you don't have to have that as part of the tree...

The first photo is tree without hammock because I thought I would let them get used to the height before adding it but as you can see Shimba luved it once it was added....
Any cat tree recommendations
Shimba says he knows they would love the hammock if you can fix one in somewhere but make sure it is in material that stretches,he luvs his when he can get it bouncing up & down, his head comes up & nearly hits the platform its attatched too then down it goes again,I am sure one day it has got to give way with all the stick his weight is giving it,but until then, great fun.....

That is the good thing about Tigga Towers as well though, built for MC's,its the first time I have had something that a year later doesn't look as if a cat has been near it & I have six that use the scratching posts on it,also to have something still stand sturdy when three cats pounce onto it at once & not move is brilliant, when the three bigger boys go for it there is 27kg + being launched at once.I know they are pricey but we saved for ours & have to say well worth every penny but I am hoping hubby might take note of the "DIY"one in other thread for the pen outside, don't think funds will stretch to two TT's...
Our previous one came from Zooplus & did fair pretty well but I don't think it would have coped too well with the latest too babes {I must remember they are lads now according to hubby but to me they are still babies, perhaps it is wishful thinking because I am jealous of all the baby furries on here} !
