Very easy to put together and very VERY sturdy, will of course bolt it too the floor when he starts putting on some heft like and look into getting a bigger hammock but at the moment its fine.

Good luck picking one and do be aware the size of the packaging.. the parcel force man nearly had a heart attack pulling it out the van
I've got to ask this, every time you post I think the same question... are you a Star Wars fanatic by any chance?

Been meaning to ask for ages!! It's funny cos Freyja's pedigree name is Kititas Kashyyyk (Chewie's home planet) and Wicca's will be Kititas Kamino (where the clone army were created).

First film I ever saw at the pictures, and the only film I've ever seen at the pictures with my Dad. I could never decide if I was going to marry Han or Luke, and then I concluded bad boys were more fun. I was positive I would be Mrs Solo when I grew up!

No worries. ;) was about to say something witty about being fluent in Klingon then realised I was thinking of the wrong science fiction/space-based entertainment show! Doh!

The tigger towers do look fantastic but would totally blow the budget. I'm starting to think that making one might be a good option. My partner is bang into woodworking (I think he would appreciate the workmanship in the tigger towers) and might quite enjoy it! I might have to get a cheap scratching post to keep sylvester enertaibed in the meantime as the homemade one may take some time.....

I looked everywhere for a year and could not find a big enough sturdy cat tree. The breeder said a full-grown male MC likes at least a 24" x 24" platform, and the tree should have easy up easy down stairs. So we had a custom tree built, giant, that also props up our ceiling / roof in case of heavy snowfall. The tree has planks that connect several high islands and runways under vaulted ceilings and our 2 kittens LOVE this! They zoom up down and around it like mad.

Also had a custom sisal-intensive castle tree built for the family room. The kittens love that one too. And they run like stallions throughout the long house, chasing each other and running up the tree / upper levels endlessly. Crazily cute kittens!

Tigga towers are brilliant and nice to look at but I do not have one as they are so expensive maybe one day! I did have a ceiling tower when my Maine coons were small but I was very concerned at the way they played on it, sometimes slipping off the side so I split it down into two smaller ones.
Some of my friends have said such heights can be dangerous. and should only be used for adult cats.
    What do others think?
