I am very sorry for your loss. Molly was a beautiful tortie and she looks like she would have been a bit of a character from her photo. Was she a naughty tortie or is that just a myth?
It is strange that cats seem to know their time has come. My boy Felix kept going outside and hiding under a bush in my garden the night before he died. I remember it well, 25th January 2009 (Burn's night). It was freezing cold and I couldn't bear to see him out in the cold so I kept bringing him in.
It was lucky you found her. Sad that your wee ones were there when you found her, but I believe that children can understand death and grieve as much as adults and it is healthier in the long run that Ewan knows what happened to Molly. Molly was obviously loved by you all and for this, she is a lucky girl. Take care x

she was in her hey day a naughty tortie and was queen of the street, in the last couple of years not so much she was almost completely deaf and starting to go blind as well so it was just her time but she will be forever missed, by me hubby and my 3 kids she was my baby before I had babies. I think you are totally right about kids understanding, Ewan told me she just fell asleep and stop breathing and tbh that's how it looked, she looked very peaceful which I'm thankful for, I think that is probably the best way to go but she was 16 so had a good long life. Thanks for all your good wishes I'm sure wherever she is now she'll be back to her younger self bossing other cats around and up to no good.
