My MC's first solid food was a bird killed by his mother when he was 5 weeks old. He ate almost all of it, and growled at me when I came near him when he was eating it.
My MC was a gift from God (someone dropped the pregnant mother off and she had Spartacus in my flower garden)...his mommy would not let him eat the kitten food I prepared for him...she would keep him away from it. She'd cover it up with dirt and leaves so he couldn't eat it. After Sparta's first solid food of the bird, she was killed the very next day by a car (she was wild, I couldn't catch her to bring her into a safe place). Spartacus has been on a 90% raw diet since then. He is 3 years old now, very healthy and LARGE!
