Claire: I was saddened to read your news but I will just echo what everybody else said and hopefully you will get positive news from the vet when the test results come back

Thankyou everyone for your kind wishes! I wont get the results back til next week but at the moment she is on pain killers and has had anti-biotic injections and eye drops for the eye infection she has as well! I am so upset as we got her from a breeder and I can't help but think that an experienced breeder would have known she had these problems. I would have taken her anyway because the whole family fell in love with her straight away. I'm not bothered about the vet bills, its the distress to Fudge and the rest of us that is so upsetting.

I am so sorry that you are going through such anxiety. Last year I bought a Bengal and had her for 3 months and lost her to FIP. She suddenly became very listless (slept all the time) and would not eat. It is devastating. I wish you all the best and pray that Fudge will be all right.

I will start to tell you how terrible sorry I'am that Fudge is sick and i feel so sorry for you.
I really hope she will get better soon.

When it comes to his breeder, often it's impossible to know that a kitten will get sick, i guess she had a health certificate. At least in Sweden SVERAK says that we are not allowed to sell kittens without a health certificate that has to be not more than maximum 7 days old.

Of course there is breeders not so good that sell sick kittens and do all kind of bad stuff, but i think most breeders are good caring breeders and sometimes kittens do get sick no matter what we do to prevent it. Have you spoken to her breeder? I guess she/he would appreciate a call from you telling what have happend.

Lots of hugs for you and Fudge!
