Never give a cat no food, and never give a cat rice.
When a cat have diarrhea you give him food whats good for the stomach and intestines.
And thats boild chicken, lamb heart ( raw ) ricewater no rice..only the water..because rice is a grain and from grain they get more problems.
When you give the cat no food, then he can get problems with the liver...
A dog can give you 24 hours no food never do this with a cat.
And when he have diarrhea for a few day's go to the vet.

Hiya, I'm back!
I took him off his dry food completely for a few days and just gave him chicken, this seemed to stop the diarrhea and his poos returned hard-ish. I did this for 4 days. I then decided to introduce him onto wet food, thinking the dry food would be too harsh on his stomach, as soon as I have introduced the wet food, he is back to stage 1 with Diarrhea again. Furthermore, he seems to be constantly hungry :(
I will take him to the vets on Monday and hopefully get it sorted out! Thank you for all the help, much appreciatedxx

Just out of interest - what wet food are you using?

One of mine had diarrhoea for what seemed like an eternity. We had to go through the elimination diet business. Now, to this day my 3 graze on Hills I/D dry food and have whatever wet food they decide is good enough on any particular day. There is also a smaller feeder with Royal Canin Oral Sensitive. Whilst I'd prefer to always give them a decent quality wet food, inevitably they demand McDonald's (Felix). So long as they are happy and healthy I don't really care what they choose to eat.

Cats are so fussy - all of a sudden they won't touch something that didn't touch the sides the day before
.
I asked which wet food because after a similar experience I found that Max and Felix seriously don't get on - he gets raging diarrhoea - my other two are fine but of course if one can't have, the others can't have.
I went through almost every decent quality food in Zooplus before finding stuff we're all happy with - today that is. It could all change tomorrow.

I had him on the James wellbeloved dry food, this was recommend by the breeder I got him from and he's been on that for months and was fine :(. The wet food I tried him on was the royal canin wet pouches.
Wivelspiker - Do you mind me asking which food you finally settled on from Zooplus?
Thanks again for all the help xx

I still try to introduce some variety but the big favourite is Applaws tuna with prawns. The plates are licked clean with that one.
Having said that, I notice Max has a runny tummy again for no apparent reason. He seems very well otherwise so I'll keep an eye on him to see if it clears up in a couple of days - he might have scoffed something crawly out in the run. They graze on Sanabelle Grande and Almo Nature holistic chicken at the moment.
If Max doesn't improve I'll lift the dry foods, sterilise the litter trays and the water fountain and start from there. Fingers crossed for you. xVisit us at www.longwalkclark.co.uk
