    Teething

Ginger is getting in some new teeth in the back! My poor baby is cutting teeth and it looks like they hurt I bought her some of the CET Virbac oral hygiene chews for cats. I think she like to play with them before she eats them. I also got some stuff you add to the water it is for both cats and dogs, although I think the Beagles know something is up as they are not drinking as much water, it them big noses they have! It is hard to sneak anything past them. Ginger lets me rub her gums with my fingers. If anyone has any teething tips, feel free to let me know what they are.

awwww poor Ginger! I never realised it when Neevie was teething - just noticed that stuff was getting chewed up a lot.... so no experience in making it all better I'm afraid...

Have you tried giving your kitten something to chew on to help relieve the pain and help the teeth to break through the gums? Hard toys made from rubber or plastic can help, just like with puppies, or you can give your kitten special teething toys and rings. I have a couple of young cats who seem to find relief from chewing on their fabric covered toys, such as the kickaroo. They also like rubbing their gums on hard cardboard box corners, then try chewing it, but it definitely seems to help.

I bought Ginger a rubber worm and a cat nip squirrel! She loves the squirrel so much! I am afraid my Beagles will choke on the worm, Rex has already ripped some od the fur off the squirrels tail! Got to love them Beagles. Haha
