I can recommend Worlds Best Cat litter that is sold at Pets at home and on Zooplus. Zooplust also do the extra clumping variety as well. It is fab stuff, just put down a good 5cm odd of the stuff and then use a scoop that has small ish holes and dig out the clumps and the poo and put it stright down the toilet That way it lasts for ages!! I love the stuff, it is expensive but then it lasts for ages too.

Can I second the Worlds Best Cat Litter. It clumps beautifully, is easy on the paws and you can scoop it out and just top it up as needed. It is also a lot lighter than some, is biodegradable and doesn't seem to retain smells at all. It does track across the floor more noticeably than the clay, especially with big hairy feet, but is sweeps/hoovers up really easily.
Sidney used it straight away when we changed from clay-based - he t seemed relieved cos it is much easier to dig in than clay...I would say that a lidded litter tray will keep the litter contained better - it is quite light and can be thrown a fair way by enthusiastic digging!
I usually buy from Pets At Home - they often have offers on so I tend to bulk buy.

I am currently using blue buffalo clumping litter made with walnut shells as it can be flushed down the toilet, although I use very little it works very well!
