    Cat Carrier

Hopefully someone will pop up & say they have one & tell you the size of it,being non returnable you want to be pretty safe or it could become a very expensive hobby, the floor surface of our carrier gives them plenty of room ,in fact daughter always has both of hers in the same carrier of that size & they are both big cats & they always look comfortable so being only a couple of inches shorter there should still be ample of room....
Think there is a lot more to come on this topic !

    Cat Carrier

I think the size will be fine,he loves stretching out at home but I bet when he is out in that he will either be sitting or laying more upright to take note of things & if he does decide to nod he will still be able to lay out pretty flat anyway, perhaps just a little tuck, its not as if it is his permanant sleeping quarters...

These are expensive. but look good. I may do for the "Extra Large with Divider" with an option to put an optional litter tray in the second half for potentially longer journeys - which I don;t expect to do:

But MC run a lot longer. This gives each kitty only 12 inches in length if they lay sideways in it. Your MC kitties may outgrow it before it arrives.
Yeah, this is what I am not sure about. Thanks for the sizing reality check

In my reality the only likely trips they are to make are en masse to the local vet in the back of the car. *BUT* I want something that can be collapsed and stored somewhere flat packed. I have very little indoor storage space (says the single man plus lodger in a 3 bed semi...).

I'm liking the look of the Sturdibag Peter, although might have to wait a bit as only just ordered their new cat tree!

I have, however, found the ultimate answer to all our problems. Save the money on expensive cat carriers, lessen the worry of them growing out of everything we buy, simply invest in a satnav or download some Googlemaps and send them on their own way ...

Pomeroy travels in a 25" x 15" x 15" carrier and is quite comfy in that. The 3 kittens DID travel in an 18" x 12" x 12" carrier untill yesterday!
Tilly has a vets appointment today and last night I got the carrier out ready. Tilly sat next to it and we both gasped "no way", she dwarfs it! Raggles squeezed himself into it, but we could see that either of them would not be comfy in it even on a short trip.
Quick trip to the pet supplies and now we have another 25" carrier! The 18" will be OK for Tia for another few months then it will go into storage.

You know I've been looking at the Sturdibags in more detail and on closer inspection, they're not quite as big as you'd think. Even the extra large divided is only 20”L x 16”H x 12”W.

I do like the 'Tested on Animals' ones that Karen posted and am very tempted.

I have, however, just found these on Argos which look fab and, although out of stock at the moment, well within my price range! I also like the fact that they have the top opening too so much easier to drop kitty in rather than pushing them in against their will.

The medium one, at 24"L x 16"H x 16"W is already bigger than the Sturdibag Extra Large and is currently only £24.69 - bargain!

    and their large one comes in at 27.5"L x 21"W x 20"H.

They also do a giant one but that's getting on for bigger than the inside of my car!

I've registered for them to email me when they come back in stock and will be placing an order then - hope it's soon
