I'm soooo annoyed with Zooplus!!!

Sorry for the rant guys but Im just a little annoyed with Zooplus. Last week Ive ordered all my kitty goodies, including the Wicker Dome Cat Basket ready for Hanks arrival on Sat.

They sent me an email confirmation that ALL had been dispatched (including the tracking number etc...). So I'm expecting my goods to arrive very soon. But 10 mins ago, I got an email, telling that the basket is OUT of STOCK! :AddEmoticons00932: Why did they just tell me now?! I really like the Wicker Carrier so Im just a little bit annoyed that they didnt tell me sooner, coz I could have arranged or bought it from somewhere else.

I've been searching online for shops that sell the same basket, but I cant find any that is the same size or deliver the next day. :AddEmoticons00924:

Im so dissapointed. :cry:

Ive had that with some bits n pieces on Amazon. It shows as 'in stock' yet 2 days after ordering I get an email from the 3rd party company saying they are out of stock but will be receiving new stock 'soon'.

This any use? (Im not sure on their delivery turnaround)

I'm afraid that's one of the big diseases of most webshops...
I have no experience with Zooplus in the UK, only with the one based in Holland, and I always got my orders on time so far...

I've just had an email from Zooplus cancelling my cat tree order saying it is out of stock after accepting my order! I still have time though to order another. Sorry about your basket, that must be really disappointing.

Thanks for the link hun, really appreciate it, but seems a little steep on the price tho :cry: but Ill check on their delivery and see what they can offer.

Yeah that is true Karol. Should have really bought it a little earlier but I guess I took the 'fast delivery' for granted, as we bought a cat litter box from them last month and it arrived within two days. Here's me thinking that the Xmas rush is over and it'll be no problem getting the items within a week. Pah!

The paradise tree I'm afraid. I'm surprised they let you go ahead and order when they have told me it's out of stock! Seems a bit odd - why don't they tell you when you are ordering :frustrated:

Hrmmm... well it says on 'My Orders' that the cat tree had been 'sent' so I dont know what's going on, I swear I'll go mad if they email to tell me it's out of stock! :curse: , Ive also just looked on their UK site and the Cat Basket that I ordered is still available to buy.:cynical:

when did you order yours? Maybe I should try ordering it again? very odd. The email which I have just re-read said: Due to unforeseen delivery problems, the product you ordered is currently unavailable. For this reason, we were forced to cancel your order. So maybe it isn't out of stock? Who knows what is going on!

Well, we ordered the cat tree yesterday... but the cat basket last week. Goodluck with that, if you order it again, let us know how u get on :)

We ordered our cat tree in late December. From what I recall It came up on the Zooplus.ie page that it was out of order, and I was asked to click somewhere if I wished to be reminded by e-mail when it was back in stock. The following morning I had an e-mail that it was back in stock and was able to order straight away!

Thats very disappointing that you both got e-mails after you ordered. It might be worth contacting Zooplus to find out when it's likely to be back in stock!

Ria were you hoping to have the basket for transporting "Hank" on Saturday?

Well, Ive been looking all night! Finally found the same cat basket on eBay and they promise to deliver the next day! So Ive just ordered it and fingers crossed it gets here on Friday, yes I plan to transport Hank in it on Sat. Failing that we might just get a cardboard pet carrier and use that until we get the new basket..:wink: I like that basket tho, as it can be used as a bed/den too as well as a carrier.

Ria the basket is lovely though we havn't used it that much yet!
We did not bring the basket with us last Saturday so the breeder had given him a beautiful furry crinkle bag as a present which she put him into. It was like a big furry blanket and he was very comfortable travelling in it on my lap. We did have to travel alot further then you will have to though!

Glad you managed to get the basket Ria - hope it comes in time for Saturday. I did email Zooplus last night asking why they had sent me an email about delivery and they have emailed me back this morning saying it was because it was out of stock but it is now back in stock so I can order it again :suprised:

I actually rang them today because the tracking number they gave me was not giving me any info on where my items are. The guy I spoke to was very unprofessional and kept on laughing as I was talking to him, which made me really annoyed! He couldnt figure out why I was sent the email that the Cat Basket was out of stock AFTER I recieved the dispatch note. So I demanded a refund, and hopefully it will be credited to my account with no problem. :frustrated:

We got the Zeus cat tree from them, which arrived in two seperate boxes a day apart.
The installation instructions were about the size of a page from a Mr Men book :) Although tbh, its not hard. We found that placing the pieces in order on the floor, before assembling, made it that much easier. Probably took me about 40 mins to completely assemble it, including the bit where I added the wrong platform... doh!

I always order from Zooplus England. Never had a problem. Only problem was the boxes it was delivered in were not of a good quality. Nowadays that has changed. Ordered tuesday, Friday I had the order at home! Once I had a problem with a scratching barrel and that was handled very well.

I always buy my items from Zooplus. Just received a corner tray. So quick to post out too. We got a fabulous cat tree (the Luxor) that is now selling at £100 I think but was in a sale for £55. We split it into two & have two good size ones now.

Sorry to resurface an old post, but just my two pennies worth :smile: aint had a problem with ZooPlus, always quickly delivered, though we did purchase that wicker basket in the OP... what a bloody mistake that was.. lovely as it is, the weight of the thing when Schrödinger's in it is well.. ridiculous :pissed: .. and he's only 5 months!! Meh, at the rate he's currently growing i'll need a pickup truck when i need to take him for booster shots :smile:

Since having a Tesco built just three minutes walk away I have resorted to using one,saves having to use car & also stretched arms when you come home with more than intended, got one with pussy paw marks over it !
Would luv picture if any one is brave enough to try it though..!
I have always been fine with Zooplus,up to now.

This made me laugh as I suggested a friend use one when she was bemoaning struggling getting on and off a bus with a tantrumming 3 year old and 6 bags of shopping. I had one of the funky patterned ones in mind but I'm still recovering from the ridicule I got when I suggested it!
