Finally settling down for a nap. They are sooooo wonderful. Not got any good photos yet, but here's a very rough video from my phone:

Works for me and it's definitely marked "public". Do you get an error or what ? :(

Congratulations, this is the most exciting time when they explore every corner of you house. They are absolutely adorable!
I am curious, will you allow them to sleep with you or lock them out of bedroom?
Once they get used to certain place for sleep it will be almost impossible to break the habit.
I decided to let them sleep with us (fortunately for them, unfortunately for us)
I admit that I often do not have a good quality sleep. If I did it over again, I would place them in their beds in the bedroom but not in our bed.
Back then I could not resist the temptation to have their furry butts next to me. Plus, I work long hours, so cuddling with them at night compensates the lack of communication at daytime.

They are allowed in almost every room (not the TV room unsupervised, too many electronics and stuff until they are more mature) and they will be allowed on my bed. They haven't made it there yet. My two previous moggies used to pin me down, on on each side, and they were quite big for moggies.
I am single, probably going to stay that way, and have a super king sized bed... :-)

Cats on the bed eh? Got to be done, especially when you've got all that space. You might not get the best night's sleep for a few months, but they'll get used to your hours and when they're older they'll know when it's wakey-up time. Mine are OK overnight now and don't disturb us (except for lie-ins).
It's remarkable the level of communication you can achieve with the MC. I wanted a lie-in on Sunday but Larry was larking about at 7am, trying to 'dig' under the duvet and 'get' my legs. I thought, I'm going to have to get up and take him downstairs, then come back to bed. But instead, I gave him the lightest pat on his back, and said 'pack it in!' and he went 'cripes! best behave then' and he settled down to sleep for a couple more hours. He totally picked up on my tone, I was so impressed that he really seemed to understand - and complied. I'm putting it down to the MC intelligence.Last edited by Howlinbob; 14th February 2011 at 03:27 PM.
