Thread: Wierd reaction to Wicca being speyed

Thanks guys. I'm not overly worried as I'm fairly confident it will settle back down again; Freyja took to a brand new cat once before, so I'm sure she can do it again (even if the rest of us know that the 'new' cat is actually good old Spider Monkey.

You have given me some good food for thought though... initially, the only reason I decided to keep the two cats apart was to give Wicca chance to heal for a day or two before the usual wrestling and stampeding started - Freyja didn't behave like a freshly spayed cat when she was down and ended up with a seroma, and I wanted to avoid a repeat for the more-insane-and-more-mischievious Wicca, but perhaps my locking myself away with her triggered jealousy in Freyja again. The ideas of talc and towel rubbing for scent purposes are good ones and I'll give those a go later this evening. I also think Jackie's idea of supervised access is a good one, and the co-ordinated petting!

I also hadn't considered the possibility that HRH Freyja might be milking it a bit, which given her past performances was a pretty stupid thing to overlook!

Thanks again. I know it'll all sort itself out, and am genuinely not stressed about it; but the suggestions might help things along a bit quicker. I'll report back in a day or two, so watch this space!!
