We had something similar with one of our kittens - we had a spider toy that had elastic on it so I tied it to their pen for them to play with. One of the boys managed to get it wrapped round his middle and neck about 3 times and was really tight. Lucky that I was only out of the room for a minute otherwise could have been awful.
I now don't let them have anything with elastic on.
Must have been very scary for you - glad all worked out OK
