The persian got between the slats and the matress once while we were changing bed and we didn't realise, dropped matress back down, heard a funny noise and realised who had crept under there She was OK, just scared
Always check now

Also the washing machine, I always check where the cats are before I press the go button

Ouchy! My matress is a latex core and even I find it hard to move on my own (I am on the large and robust side ;-) ) - my boys would not like that...
