I bought the Sleepypod Air in case I ever have to fly and also have the regular round one. Both cats fit very well. Eli's about 12 pounds now and Tiki's about 11. They could easily double in size and still fit. I like them because they are so plush and comfortable. The round one does enable them to sit up whereas the Air pretty much mandates that they lie down. The sides of the round one are firmer and it's just so cozy so I'd go with that one.

That's really helpful to know, thanks. I've tried every conceivable search parameter in google to see if an adult mc could comfortably fit in a sleepy pod and had absolutely no luck whatsoever! At the risk of being cheeky, if you ever have an opportunity to snap a quick photo it would be most helpful
