Apartment window protection

Hello!

Me and my partner (mainly him)

made some window frames with wire mesh to allow us to open the windows in our apartment on a hot day. Paddington & Phoebe LOVE it now we can open them and they sit on the window sill sniffing and loving the breeze!

Thought id share with all of you!!

Nice. How do they fix to the frame ? Velcro ? I was thinking of something similar for the top opening windows here for the summer, since I will want fresh air in my bedroom when it gets stuffy.

Daughters had metel clips round the window that stayed there & you could just put them on or remove dead easy as required although the screen on the door was a fixed hinged one,like those people in warmer enviroments have as a matter of course but take the wee wee out of us over here as in a previous thread,no name mentioned....!!!
So pleased Jolly that you have posted a picture of what they look like,when daughter needed to use them I was not on the forum but as she now has an outside cat pen she can use & no longer requires them they have been passed onto others,hence unable to get picture when this has been raised before.I was lucky that dad is a retired carpenter so he made ours plus screens for quite a few other MC owners who wanted to be able to open everywhere up during the warmer weather,hope Paddington & Pheobe continue to luv their fresh air,I am sure they will....x

Hi, we fixed them to the window with velcro. I didn't think velcro would be strong enough but even we struggle to get them off the windows some times! They were really easy to make too.

We were talking about this very subject a couple of days ago. OH would like to put a shelf up under our bedroom window so the cats can look out, but it's on the third floor of our house and I like to have the windows open in summer. I tried to describe a screen like this to him but didn't do a very good job! So your post was damned handy! I might pm you for assembly instructions if you don't mind!
