cat basket
I know a couple of you that bought the cat basket/carrier from Zooplus. I think I am going to get one too as it can double as a bed and carrier. I wanted to ask what you bought to go inside it as padding as it seems to have none. Also is the handle on the top strong enough to hold a grown cat inside if I need to take him to the vet?

Hi Karen
I got the wicker cat basket and no it didnt have any padding with it, so I used an old blanket which Hank loves. You can also buy pillows/cushions or a fleece blanket for it if you want. I think the handle is strong enough to hold a full grown Maine Coon. I cant really fault it, well, apart from the padding, for that price you would expect it to come with it.I would advice to get the 60cm one too=)

Thanks Ria. Yes you would expect it to have one with it. I was going for the 60cm one as I remember you saying that's what you got. I will look around for a nice padded blanket.

I would also recommend getting the bigger basket. I got the small basket and it's perfect at the moment but if he turns out to be on the larger side he will have to get a new basket
Like the others I just put in a fleece blanket which I picked up for a fiver. Ikea also do some nice small fleece blankets in the childrens furniture section!
It's an excellent basket to carry him in.We have brought him out 3 times in it for trips in the car. It raises lots of eyebrows as it is a very pretty basket and of course is environmentally friendly!
However our winston is not sleeping in it. He goes into it during the day to play, but so far will not stay in it.

Thanks Dee. I have a large order coming from zooplus hopefully arriving next week, basket included. I didn't order a bed as I am hoping he will use the basket and he also has the tree but I will see how it goes - there are some lovely beds out there, but I'm just about spent out now for this month! Only two weeks to go now and I am getting so excited. I just can't wait to see him again. It's so lovely seeing everyone's pictures but it just makes me ache more cos I want to cuddle him and feel him in my arms so badly. We have decided on the name Simba now so that's a big job done!
