I'm sure she is looking lovely! What are kittens like when they're just born? I've only ever seen puppies in those early weeks and but I assume it's a similar round of sleeping and eating. Do they make any noise though? The puppies were always squeaking!

Yep that pretty much sums it up..eating and sleeping. Mum even cleans up after them (if you know what i mean
)
Gypsy is quite a quiet little girl but my god she has a set of lungs on her when i pick her up to weigh her.
It's been really dull and dark here today and as her eyes have only just opened i don't want to use the flash on my camera. Hopefully it will be brighter tomorrow.

I always think newborn kittens sound a bit like mice. I remember a few years ago waking up at about 4am thinking I could hear a mouse, but when I looked around I saw that my cat Isabelle had given birth to 4 kittens on top of me on the bed. I had mixed feelings of joy and disgust, had to get up and change all the bedding... :S

She gave birth on top of you and you didn't notice?!? That's a brilliant story! I don't know what I would have done...
Mick - she probably just doesn't like being disturbed from her eating and sleeping cycle for trivial things like weigh-ins! Bless her she might end up being a right little madam! You could have trouble on your hands there ;)

I was fast asleep at the time. The 2 cats I had at the time always slept on me so it was no strange thing at the time for her to be on the bed...

Managed to get some better photos today. 10 days old and she is just under 300g!
I'm getting a bit worried she might end up squashing Buffy

Once their eyes open they start growing like little weeds, soon she'll be tearing around the house.
Digital photography is wonderful, you can take all the pictures you want and no waiting.MickB likes this.
