Oh bless him,Candes will now have her wish granted,handsome MC plus cast....
I still can't understand why she didn't tell you to restrict him to begin with,we have mobile cages to hire out to make life easier,would be a bit hard to know if there is a problem with the cast being too tight, you would have soon known if the paw was uncovered any sign of swelling means a quick trip back ,if you are worried in any way just phone & get him in to be checked,better to play it safe,might sound a bit nasty but could you get in with another vet in the practice,sometimes a different view can help,still a bit bemused as to why they suddenly decided to put a bloody big cast on him at this point,hopefully their will soon be something back from the orthopedic side,I take it that they have sent the xrays off to be viewed by them,have known in big dogs for it to be nothing more than a quick spurt growth causing the animal discomfort so have everything crossed for your boy but as I say don't spend the day worrying if everything is ok,get him back for a check & at least a bit more peaceful mind for you....x
