Extra Large Maine Coon

It doesn't seem that long ago that the World's Largest Cat was announced as a red maine coon. I notced this today in the news courtesy of the Guiness Book of Records - can we top it? Trouble is I can't remember how they are measured, is it tip of nose to end of tail?

I'm pretty sure it's tip of nose to end of tail...

Stewie is listed at the Guinness site as 48.5 inches.

I caught MC Elvis stretched out asleep on the floor the other day and he's 45" but he's only 2 1/2 years old.

I can't seem to catch him stretched out for the camera, though.



I doubt if he's got another 3.5" of length to grow, but he definitely has a few more pounds to go before he's finished growing
