Smile Why do I keep calling her ‘Little’ Minnie?

So why do I keep calling her ‘Little Minnie’? Is it because of the innocent child-like expression on her face?

She is by no means little anymore. I never expected her to be any heavier than 9 pounds, but she weighs 11 now. And despite eating like a wolf she hasn’t got an ounce of fat on her … I guess I ought to start calling her Skinny Minnie.

Lovely girl, how old is she?
MCC are slow to mature, 4-5 years to complete their growth and after that they can continue to pack on weight.
My Samantha maxed out at 17 lbs and was still quite agile for her size.

She looks a lot like my Dakota! He is now 20 pounds, and we still call him baby boy and "little guy". Aren't MCs awesome?!?!?!?!? Here is a photo of him and his "big brother", who really is about 9 pounds (and quite annoyed with his "little brother").

She’s still very young … 1 year and 9 months. She’d always been the smallest in her litter. When we got her at 14 weeks she was tiny, just over 3.3 pounds which is the minimum weight at which most Dutch MC breeders will allow a female kitten to leave home. So that is why I expected her to stay smallish forever. But as it happens, she is exceeding my expectations.

I wonder if she’ll get much heavier when she matures… she is a very frisky and athletic girl.

You're right... the do look alike. Only Minnie has black feet.
And the little/big brother... I think he is stunning. Lovely colour, but I can't make out if he is solid black or solid blue?

I think Little Minnie sounds great & wouldn't change it even if she doubles in weight, luv that sweet innocent look she is giving the camera...x

Dakota's "big brother", named Blue is solid blue - and too smart for his own good! He's 1 yr older than Dakota, and this guy is full of attitude (among other things). He is as "smart" as Dakota is "gentle", which makes a great combo. They love chasing each other throughout the house, making a mess of the rugs as they go!

We still call Dot "Little Dot", even though she is now 4Kg and STILL growing.
Those of you who know here story, thought like us that she would remain tiny but she seems to be a normal, if slow growing coonie.
