Thread: Does your Maine Coon talk like this?

My two are polar-opposites when it comes to talking.

Poif is silent, almost all of the time, in fact she reminds me of the puppet sooty as she still manages to be very expressive despite her silence. I have heard her meow, but only when very unhappy i.e shut in a room/travelling. It's not an attractive sound, a low sound but produced in a way that definitely sounds like grumbly talking, she reminds me a little bit of the old 'Charlie says' adverts!! (Charley says... Ffion on the other hand, has an endless array of sounds and noises. She ppprrrrpps a lot, in various lengths. She has also started meowing back when spoken to, mostly when asking to put the tap on in the bathroom. Again these sounds vary from a chirup to a long and loud mmmmeeeeeeoooooooooooooow. Always polite sounds and always very tuneful!
