Thread: Elvis Finds the Lap

Ffion is such a lap cat that she will follow you into the loo to get a cuddle in while you're seated. When I took the kittens to Cornwall Ffion gifted almost every member of the family with a toilet lap cuddle!! In fact she can be quite an aggressive cuddler sometimes, particularly with Rich, she'll force herself on your lap even when he's trying to work on his laptop...as we speak she has climbed up upon my lap!!...I've learned to use the laptop at arms length.

Poif is more of an occasional lap cat. She prefers to snuggle with me in the dead of night both under the duvet and on my pillow. I frequently wake in the night to find a Poif beside me!

When Samantha was young I lived in a apartment where the bathroom was across the entry hall from the kitchen with the toilet directly across from the door.
Samantha felt whenever I was on the toilet that it was "Mouse Ball" Time, mouse bat was the game we played where she stood about 3 feet in front of me and I would try to toss the rattle mouse passed her.
As most of you know a MCC in their prime are incredible leapers and it was almost impossible to get the mouse past Samantha, she would leap high into the air and snag the mouse with a single paw and if it did get past her into the kitch she'd be after it like a Golden Retriever after a tennis ball and then she'd bring it back.

Now Mufasa has found the husbands lap! Like Elvis he was never keen on sitting on anyone, much preferring to sit beside you on the settee. Last night I went to bed leaving my husband in the lounge asleep on his chair and Mufasa asleep on the settee. Apparently Mufasa decided to climb on my husband whilst he was asleep and he woke up with a 23lb cat on his chest lol! I wonder why he left it until it was only the two of them and Paul was asleep? May be a 'one off' though.
